The next LTV strut meeting will be held on Wednesday 9th July. The venue and format is different and hopefully it will take advantage of the summer evenings and some nice weather.
Darlton Gliding Club will be the hosts to the meeting with the kind invitation of the CFI John Maddison. The invitation is also extended to the LTV strut members to experience the thrill of a glider winch launch and flight at the special price of £25, this price will also include one months membership to Darlton Gliding Club so that you can come back to try it again. The airfield is located between Darlton and Tuxford, post code NG22 0TQ. Anyone who wishes to take up this offer are suggested to arrive at the airfield between 16:00 and 18:00. Even if you do not wish to take up this offer of a flight it will still be beneficial to witness the teamwork and operation of a glider cable winch launch.
Our strut meeting will commence at 19:00 in the DGC clubhouse with a talk by John Maddison on the dangers of flying over or near to a gliding site.
Darlton Gliding Club are in the process of building a tug aircraft that is on the LAA register. We will have the opportunity to look over the construction progress at approximately 19:30 and have the chance to ask some questions.
Once we are back in the clubhouse there will be an update on the LAA strut activities and a look forward to the LAA rally in August.
